“Listen 411” is a book of spiritual and inspirational poems. Everyone that I know has inspired my writings one way or another. I pray that at least one of the poems can make a difference in a person’s life and lead them to Jesus Christ our savior. I also want people to think about how we should be treating each other and how we should be living. We sometimes need to hear things, but there is no one to tell us. Sometimes our family members and friends tell us about ourselves, but we don’t LISTEN. Over the years the majority of the ideas for the poems have come up in conversation with friends and family. I decided to put them on paper. I have had a gift of poetry for a long time. I am most definitely not judging anyone in my poems. That is not my job. This is my first book and I give God all the praise. My writings are truly a gift from God and I would like to share them with the world. I have made this book simple enough for any age group to understand. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have writing it.

I'm a 911 dispatcher and I keep this book at work. The poems in this book are not only inspirational but motivates me and keeps my perspective during troubling times.
I have read this book from beginning to end, and I must admit this is by far one of the most influential and spiritually educational literatures I have ever read. I had the pleasure of meeting Bro. Brown and was totally intrigued by his intelligence, but importantly his spirit. This book can be a wonderful read for any individual trying to get closer to the word of God. Continue to bless Bro. Brown. May the Lord continue to grow and use you.
I was amazed at how touched I was by each poem. Each page contained another lesson for me, things for me to remember as I go throughout the day. Nuggets of amazing wisdom, that keep me going through some very tough times. I keep this in my car, so that when I need to take a break in my crazy day, I can read a page at random, and meditate on it. Each time I read a poem it means something different to me. Pearls of wisdom come in many forms... this is a wonderful pearl

This book of poems is truly uplifting and inspirational! I am not an avid reader but I found myself not wanting to put it down! I read the entire book non stop until I finished it! That is HUGE for me!!!!! The book is very well written and easy to read. Topics include some of the very issues that we face today. Listen 411 by Robert A. Brown is a must read for EVERYONE of all ages and would be a great gift for anyone!

I knew it was Christmas when Bobby Brown presented 2 copies of his book to me on Christmas Eve. One for my family and one to give to whoever I chose. I took them home and wrapped one for my grandson and began to read the other. I could not put the book down until I had read all passages. Bobby touched on every avenue of life with such practicality that even the youngest reader can understand. Yet, when you have awakened to your own Christianity, it will touch you in a way of a "gift". Thanks Bobby for the gift of wisdom you present in this book to all who are willing to "Listen".
One never knows what is inside until the things of life provoke words from deep within. Poetry comes from the soul. It is stimulated by events in time, relationships, sadness, pain or just wonderment. Where ever it comes from; it can be as beautiful as a quilt when put together.
The author of this book of poetry has a message that should be heeded and recommend it as a motivation book--that is designed with spiritual intent.
Words can be like water to a thirsty soul.
Listen 411 quenches those that are parched indeed.
